Bradford City lends Jorge Sikora to Spennymoor Town

Bradford City defender Jorge Sikora has been loaned to Spennymoor Town.

Bradford City gave the green light to the youngster to exit through the exit door, as announced on his official Twitter account (see tweet below).

Sikora, 19, partnered with Spennymoor on an initial 28-day basis.

The Bantams will be eager for him to gain more first-team experience under his belt in the NHL.

Career to date

Sikora rose through the ranks of Bradford academy after joining the club at the Under-13 level.

He has been a regular on their various youth teams over the past few years and made his first-team debut in September 2019.

The teenager turned pro in 2020 and also got a new one-year contract at the end of last season.

He has made five appearances for the senior Bantams team so far in his career.

Sikora was also loaned out to Manchester United FC a few seasons ago in the Northern Premier League.

New temporary home

Spennymoor is currently 3rd in the Northern National League after a good start to the season.

They have a few former Football League players in their ranks such as Carl Magnay, Adriano Moke, Jason Kennedy and Joe Tait.

Sikora will give Tommy Miller’s side more competition and depth in defense and it will be interesting to see how he does.
