Donny van de Beek’s reason for new agent emerges as Man Utd players step in
Donny van de Beek recently switched agents in a bid to secure an exit from Man Utd with some of his teammates advising him to do so while he remains anchored on the bench.
Donny van de Beek has been asked to change agents by his Manchester United teammates if he wants to secure a move, according to reports.
The Dutchman moved to Old Trafford last summer for £ 40million but struggled to seize opportunities under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
He stays behind Bruno Fernandes in the pecking order and an influx of attacking talent means playing time is even more precious.
Van de Beek has only had five minutes of Premier League action this quarter.
The 24-year-old’s frustration has been evident and the Daily Mail reports that after conversations in the dressing room the player was convinced to hire a new agent.
Van de Beek told Guido Albers he no longer needs him and has now signed with Ali Dursun.

Dursun is the man who assured Frenkie De Jong, former Van de Beek teammate, a transfer from Ajax to Barcelona in 2019.
He also deals with United defender Victor Lindelof, who moved to Old Trafford in 2017 but now finds himself behind Raphael Varane in the pecking order.
United have come under fire for signing Van de Beek, with some suggesting he was added without a clear plan, which is supported by his lack of minutes.
Everton have been linked with a summer swoop for the Dutchman – and they remain excited about a loan in January.
United blocked a summer outing but Albers has claimed, after dialogue with the club, that Van de Beek will be offered more chances in the first team – which was not the case.
He had previously told Ziggo Sport: “Cristiano arrived on Friday which we knew was bad news for us. Pogba is playing on the left, and with the arrival of Cristiano that means another extra player in the middle of field, Pogba moving away from the left.
“We had conversations with Solskjær and the board. We took the initiative to find a club and our search ended in Everton. We started discussions with Marcel Brands and Farhad Moshiri.
” Monday evening [before deadline day] we got a call from Solskjær and the club telling us that a transfer was out of the question and he had to show up for training the next morning.

“The prospect now is that we have declared that Donny is not a Carabao Cup, or FA Cup player, or playing only in European matches. Donny has gone to England to play in the Premier League.
“The way the conversation went this time [with Solskjær] compared to last summer … things are much clearer now. I’m fully waiting for Donny to have his chance now.
“Donny worked extremely hard over the summer. He only had seven days off. The rest of the summer he trained to get in great shape. He’s totally ready.”
