Farmer joins Bar Harbor Bank & Trust as Vice President, Mortgage Originator

Jack Farmer has joined Bar Harbor Bank & Trust as Vice President, Mortgage Originator (NMLS #583387). In this role, he helps Central Maine individuals and families find the right home financing solutions.

Farmer has over 20 years of experience in the residential lending industry. Prior to his career in the financial services industry, he held various management positions in the transportation industry. Farmer made the transition to the financial services industry in September 2001 when he accepted a position as Mortgage Manager with LFS Mortgage/Ebid Mortgage. He then served as a mortgage professional at Universal Mortgage Corp and vice president, head of mortgages at Machias Savings Bank. Most recently, he was a loan officer at Guild Mortgage.

Farmer earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Husson University.

Farmer is active in the community and is currently a member of the Loans Committee for MaineStream Finance.

He and his wife Shelly live in Carmel.
