Customers always come first. It’s the rule of thumb that Kim Mello has followed since becoming a loan officer more than 20 years ago. More tOver the years, she has helped countless families achieve their financial goals and needs. With repeat borrowers and referrals still emailing and calling, she has built a loyal network that knows they can count on her for first-class mortgage service. No matter how busy she is, Mello always makes time to respond immediately to her clients and partners when they need help.

Mello is a Nationally Recognized Mortgage Professional and Vice President of Residential Lending at the Danvers branch of Draper and Kramer Mortgage Corp. Industry publications Scotsman Guide and Mortgage Executive Magazine have ranked it among the nation’s top mortgage originators by annual loan volume. In 2021, she closed more than $46 million in loans for the year, easily qualifying for the company’s Chairman’s Club for top performing loan officers.

“My greatest motivation is the opportunity to helpp families to find and finance their forever home,” says Mello. She works with clients of all types, including first-time home buyers, moving buyers and refinancers. Mello says she’s committed to being a lifelong loan officer for every client, serving them from pre-approval to closing and beyond.

When Mello isn’t working, she enjoys life in Nahant. She owns a waterfront home where she raised her two sons who are now in their twenties. She is also a proud supporter of the Wounded Vet Run of Boston, an organization that funds housing modifications and meets other needs to improve the quality of life for veterans with disabilities.

In the years to come, Mello plans to continue to grow her network and help many more families finance their homes. “I’m excited to continue building and working with my team to deliver the great services and programs my clients deserve,” she says.
