Top agent claims Manchester United will listen to Brandon Williams offers
We already know it will be a transformative summer at Manchester United with changes in management, behind-the-scenes staff and players.
Erik ten Hag will want to bring in several new faces in a bid to improve United’s defensive line, in midfield and in front of goal. The Dutchman has a lot of work to do and we expect it will take several transfer windows to build the squad he believes is ready to compete for the top honours.
United will be saying goodbye to a number of players due to expiring contracts and, on top of that, the club are hoping to be able to sell players in order to increase Ten Hag’s transfer prize pool.
Some of them will need to be replaced.
In an exclusive column for Caught Offside, famed football agent Rob Segal claims YMU Group client Brandon Williams could leave Old Trafford this summer after getting a taste of regular football in the top flight.
“He’s a young lad and he’s had to move across the country, but what he doesn’t want to do now is go back to Old Trafford and wipe away all the hard work of this season on his own. sitting on the bench,” said Segal.
“Manchester United know and appreciate that, so for Williams it’s more likely he will go on another loan, but Manchester United are not ruling out any possibility.
“It is now the representative’s job to consider all offers from Williams to Manchester United, and I have been informed that assurances to this effect have been made by the club.”
This backs up a Manchester Evening News report which states that United informed Williams they could not guarantee he would get satisfactory playing time at the club.
For someone who has played 29 times this season, I can understand why he may want to pursue his career rather than be a full-fledged player.
Williams is 21 and we wish him the best with whatever decision is made this summer.
